Thanks. I think it was happening because we also had Markit Slideshow modules on the page that we were migrating from. They are gone now and timing looks correct.
But there is a remaining issue that is very strange. I have 2 instances of DS on a page - an image scroller and a text/image scroller. For an unknown reason, the display of the text within the text/image scroller will sometimes not appear.
For example, I might see the text in one browser and not another. Or when logged in versus not logged in. Or can make the text appear by moving it to a different content pane.
FWIW the DS modules both have their server cache disabled (separate forum thread on that). Enabling/disabling the DS client cache doesn't change the odd behavior.
Here is an example of a page that exhibits the problem. The DS module titled "Application Images" has scrolling text below the images that has the inconsistent text display.
